The gardens are beautifully landscaped. The art throughout the hotel adds a unique touch.
The plumbing was a bit of a hassle, with leaky toilets and inconsistent hot water in the shower not being up to par for a place like this. The breakfast service also fell short. We had to seek out utensils ourselves. And let's not forget about the somewhat lukewarm welcome at check-in regarding access after hours, which left us fumbling around with key cards to find our way back in at midnight. That certainly didn't feel very five-star.

The hotel of choice in Robertson. Excellent base for 2 nights with welcoming staff from check-in to check-out. Stunning, ideal location in a residential neighbourhood. Also - short walk to Western Cape and wineries in Robertson. Lovely breakfast - 5 star level.

The spa & wellness centre offered an very nice full body massage that completely rejuvenated me. I also loved relaxing by the outdoor swimming pool, soaking in the sun on the comfortable sun loungers. Dining at the intimate restaurant was a highlight, with Eggs Benedict that were to die for!

The food was nothing short of lovely, especially the gluten-free dishes that had us raving! Our stay in the Beautiful King Room revealed a huge space with tasteful decor, and the complimentary flowers and wine for my birthday were a good touch.
While we loved our experience, those dining room chairs felt a bit constricting-ouch! Despite our earlier fabulous lunch memories, the menu didn't quite hit the same high note this time.

missingWrote a review on 30 Octplumbing issuesnarrow bed
Had expected so much more from The Robertson. The plumbing issues were quite a nuisance, and the bed was ridiculously narrow. Woudl have loved a complimentary wine or gesture after such inconveniences, but alas, just another typical stay. Almost gave a good review, but just couldn't. #Disappointed
